APTA Organization provides a forum for women AWEP ( APTA Women Empowerment Program) to share information and resources, exchange ideas, promote culture and ethics.
AWEP Women’s Forum promotes the values of Educate, Empower and Engage with support, relationship, and integrity. “A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform. APTA Women Empowerment Program provide a professional, ingenious, virtuous, and a significant platform for women.
AWEP was formed on March 8th 2018 with pilot program of building restrooms and providing sanitary napkins in 23 government high schools in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. AWEP mission is empower women and girls by enhancing their political, economic, legal and social status and Vision is to educate, empower and Engage.
Educate: An Educated women can help to enhance their family and Society. They can look after their children properly, can help their husband to live their life happily and successfully.
· AWEP team works hand in hand with internal teams in APTA and provide necessary training for women who want to start carrier in IT and various fields.
· Educate girls in India on various health and hygiene products (Sanitary Pads) and support girl’s education through scholarships, provide sewing machines etc.
Engage: Making a commitment to educate, engage, and empower people will lead to action.
Empower: Women’s empowerment can be defined to promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. AWEP empowers women through conferences and networking calls to boost their self-esteem, shutting down negativity, providing mentorship, bring women to leadership roles and support women run business.
